LOVE IS THE ANSWER

At this moment in history, there is a painful divide separating people. We can’t stand idly by as so many need healing. We can serve the greater community and we can be open to discovering how best this service can be shared. We can take responsibility for others, which builds strength in ourselves and in our relationships. Each of us holds the power to bring peace and spread happiness. It’s in the positive energy we share that can cause changes to be made. Showing up with kindness, helpfulness, unselfishly giving to strangers and friends imbues our connections with love. Our own positive energy transfers to others. We all realize that we are affected by other people’s negative energy. We feel it and it causes us to withdraw, retreat into ourselves, and sometimes give up. Marcus Aurelius was quoted as saying, “Your happiness depends on the quality of your thoughts.”

Dr. Maya Angelou said, “Nobody but nobody makes it out of here alone. What really matters now is love. I mean, that condition in the human spirit that is so profound it allows us to rise. Strength, love, courage, love, kindness, love, that is what matters. There has always been evil. But there has always been good, and there is good now.

When we can focus on the positives in life, we can neurologically rewire our brains to see the possibilities. We can find the good and dwell there.  Let’s do this together. And we can stand up and allow our voices for good to be heard. And we can pray for all the hostages to be released and for peace to spread around the world.

Shabbat Shalom.
